Theta state is that state of mind where our mind is very much relaxed and can easily communicate with our subconscious mind. Generally we reach to this theta state when we do deep meditation or go deeply inside our mind. In theta state of mind you can easily communicate with your subconscious mind. You can give it suggestions and you can also ask questions. Affirming your affirmations in theta state will work more effectively. So I will tell you how to reach in theta state of your mind.
Theta state meditation
If you are a beginner you should do it if you are not a
beginner if you've been at it since some time then also you should incorporate
this into your meditation sessions and your sessions would actually reach a new
height. I am talking about the theta
state of mind . Now, why theta is important ? What it can do for you ? How it
can be beneficial ? What you should do when you have actually achieved a theta
state of mind during your meditation session ? So whenever you want to reach
the theta state of mind I want you to find a quiet place, some comfortable
place somewhere where you are not likely to be disturbed for 15 to 20 minutes
or howsoever long you want your meditation to be. Sit comfortably. Now it can
be in the lotus position or it can be just like you sit on a chair. You don't
need to worry too much about your position. Any position in which you are
comfortable is the right position in order to meditate. I am going to tell you
the steps to reach your theta state.
Close your eyes, take
some few deep breaths to relax yourself and then I want you to make some little
visualizations.
So basically I want you to visualize yourself as a ball of white light in the center of your chest. So basically you are not yourself you are inside your body you are a ball of white light within your chest, at the center of your chest. Now what exactly is this ball ?

This ball is a special ball and what it does is that whatever part
of the body it is in the vicinity of, it actually gathers all the body
consciousness. So basically when it is in the center of your chest it is
gathering all the consciousness of your body from around this area thereby
making this area relaxed.
So one of the fundamentals of going into deep
meditative state is to be in the relaxed state.
Before the mind can relax your body has to relax. So this ball actually
helps you do that. So you are a white ball in the center of your chest now this
ball will actually move downwards and as it moves downwards it collects the
body consciousness thereby relaxing those parts of your body that it is near.
So start from the center of the chest moves downwards towards the belly,
towards the waist then through the thighs around the knees, ankles, feet. So
gradually it is moving downwards collecting that body consciousness. Now the
ball leaves the bottom of your
feet and then it actually enters the surface of the earth . It goes below the
surface of the earth and now I want you to keep going downwards or downward
journey of the white ball should keep going on.
Now I want you to imagine it going several hundreds of feet below the
surface of the earth and suddenly when you are several hundreds of feet below
the surface of the earth you find a large rock. Now I want you to imagine an
infinite rope and with that rope one end of that rope you tie to that huge rock
that you found several hundreds of feet below the surface of the earth and the
other end has to be tied to yourself that is the ball of white light. Since it
is the Rope of infinite length now you
are ready for the upward journey. Now traverse all that journeying back to the
bottom of your feet and then again imagine that the ball enters your body
through the feet of the ankles, then the knees and the waist belly and finally
the center of the chest. Now when you are at the center or the center of your
chest you are back where you started. Now an upward journey should continue
towards your neck, through the neck your face and your head and then with a
slight pop it actually leaves your body through the crown of your head. Now as
soon as this happens you are already in theta but we are actually going to make
it a deeper theta, a stronger theta.
We are going to reinforce this theta state
of mind. So what we are going to do is we are going to continue with this upward
journey. So you keep going up and what is up there is the sky, there are the
clouds there are various planets and stars and
and there's the Sun and you still keep going up so when you keep going
so much higher actually what happens is that you leave this universe and you
move to some other plane and so you keep going up you still keep going up and
at a distance upwards you visualize or you see a huge bowl of bluish white
light it may be a planet. So you still keep going up till you are actually
face-to-face with that huge ball of bluish white light and now I want you to
move horizontally till now we have been moving vertically upwards now move
horizontally into that huge ball of bluish white light and keep going
horizontally more and more and more within that ball of bluish white light and
as you keep on moving inside that ball bluish white light you know everything
that is surrounding you is that bluish white light. You know you are completely
encompassed by that and you are completely bathed in that bluish white light.
Now at this point you are in theta and
and now you can do all the things that you wanted.
Binaural beats
At different states like the Alpha State, the theta state,
the beta state, the gamma state or the Delta state our brain is in different frequencies that it emits . I will
tell you what are binaural beats and how they work and I'll also tell you
whether they work or not and whether you should be using them.
Most of you will
already be knowing what binaural beats are. But I will tell you very briefly. The states of our mind like the Alpha state, theta state are
basically frequencies. It is the frequency that our brain is currently working on. Our thought process, our thinking is currently at that frequency. So basically
binaural beats are delivered to us, are given to us or we consume them in the form of sound
tracks. So basically these sound tracks are designed in such a way that on one
ear we get a certain frequency and on the other ear we get a different
frequency. So if you ever encountered any binaural beats you had noticed that
the tracks on one ear is slightly faster or slightly slow. So on different ears
we get different frequencies. What
happens is that if there is one frequency on one ear let's say X Hertz and
there's another frequency Y Hertz on the other ear, our mind will actually
perceive the affective frequency to be X minus y Hertz. So we all know that
five Hertz is the frequency of theta I mean five Hertz comes within the range
of the theta range so let's say that I am listening to a track where in one ear
I have the frequency of let's say 105 Hertz and on the other ear we have a
frequency of 100 Hertz so effectively
what will happen is that my mind will perceive
the overall frequency of that sound track to be five Hertz and my mind
will respond to it in such a way that it will get into that frequency itself.
And so when I listen to such a sound track and getting rid of all the
distractions by closing my eyes and sitting in a quiet place with not much
sound, not much noise then gradually what will happen is that I will start to
get into that state of five Hertz frequency. I will start getting into the
theta state. So theoretically I can say with a lot of confidence that binaural
beats works. It definitely works. Now should you be using them again I am not here to tell you that you should not be using them.
If you feel like using them
go ahead and use them but there are various factors to do with whether it
will work for you or not as most of the
sources from where we get these binaural beats you can never really trust if
they're really the frequencies or are really pure tone. You cannot really trust
if they are so high in quality and really so so sharp that the difference is
actually exactly 5 Hertz. You can never really be sure about it. You will get
different tracks on internet that claim to take you to a theta state, some of
them maybe work but the problem is that you really have to trust the creator of
that particular sound track. At last I will say that, fine binaural beats works and if you have to use it you can
use it but my point is that will you be using a wheelchair if you already have
perfectly functioning legs ? Will you ? It would be ridiculous. So I will suggest you to use the above technique in order to reach to the theta state.
